Therefore the Viniścayasaṃgrahaṇī says: In terms of material dharmas, there are three kinds of non-separation, as extensively explained there. The Sarvāstivādins and others only establish the non-separation of aggregation and do not accept the other two, because in their school they do not allow the four great elements to interpenetrate one another. Now, in accordance with the Mahāyāna, all three are fully elucidated. Taking for now the non-separation of occupying the same location: just as at the location of a single eye atom there are seven atoms in the same location—meaning the eye and body faculties, the earth element that can produce them, and the four sense objects, which mutually interpenetrate and are present in the same location, like the light of many lamps in a single room that mutually interpenetrate without obstructing one another—so too, by the power of supernormal transformation, an atom can be made to contain the snow mountain.
