Ji says: Here there are altogether three explanations. The first explanation states: the wholesome and unwholesome karma of non-Buddhists is called crooked, because it obstructs the straight path of the Buddha-Dharma. This very crooked karma is called defiled, because it sullies the true Dharma and sullies body and mind. This very crooked and defiled karma is called turbid, because it is dregs of bad phenomena and confounds body and mind. Because all of them extend to the wholesome and unwholesome, this treatise states: 'That is to say, crooked karma is also called defiled karma, and crooked-defiled karma is also called turbid karma.' The second explanation states: crooked karma is as above.
