八中洲者，東二州：一、提河；二、毘提河。南二州：一、遮末羅；二、筏羅遮末羅。西二州：一、舍搋；二、嗢呾羅漫呾哩拏。北二州：一、矩拉婆；二、橋拉婆。非天宮殿，有經云：須彌山北海下，有四重，大非天宮，小者隨處而住。如《法華疏》。

The eight intermediate continents: the two eastern continents: 1. Deha; 2. Videha. The two southern continents: 1. Cāmara; 2. Varacāmara. The two western continents: 1. Śāṭhā; 2. Uttaramantrina. The two northern continents: 1. Kurava; 2. Kaurava. Palaces of the asuras: a sūtra states that beneath the ocean to the north of Mount Sumeru, there are four tiers; these are the palaces of the great asuras, while the lesser ones dwell wherever they may. As stated in the Commentary on the Lotus Sūtra.
