釋表色義中，「生滅相續」者，不同正量部動，及日出論者業。「由變異」者，即發業心剎那滅故，果隨因變；不同正量等，先滅後生故，先生處不生。

In explaining the meaning of informative matter (vijñapti-rūpa), 'continuing in arising and perishing' differs from the Sammatīya's [notion of] motion and the Sunrise Theorist's (Sūryodaya's) karma. 'By transformation' means that because the mind initiating action perishes in an instant, the result transforms in accordance with the cause; it differs from the Sammatīya and others, for whom it arises after having previously perished, so it does not arise in the place where it previously arose.
