10.30

論云「攝眷屬過有其二種，謂於眷屬饒益、損減染污違順，如是二事」者，謂於違起損減染污，於順起增益染污，故名二事。

The treatise says: "There are two kinds of faults in gathering a retinue: defiled diminution and defiled augmentation toward the retinue, conflicting with and conforming to [it]; such are the two matters." This means that toward what conflicts, defiled diminution arises, and toward what conforms, defiled augmentation arises; hence they are called two matters.
