論「云何能變神境智通」者，此神境智通是所化境，云何此中言能變神境智通？以能變化作此境故，境從見說，名為能變。又雖舉所變，意顯神通，故名能變。能變屬智也，舉所變，意能變之用也。

The treatise says: "What is the spiritual-penetration knowledge of base of supernatural power capable of transformation?" This spiritual-penetration knowledge of base of supernatural power is the object that is transformed; why does it speak here of the spiritual-penetration knowledge of base of supernatural power being capable of transformation? Because it is capable of transforming and creating this object, the object is spoken of from the perspective of the view, being called capable of transformation. Furthermore, although it mentions what is transformed, the intention is to reveal the spiritual penetration, and hence it is called capable of transformation. Being capable of transformation pertains to wisdom; mentioning what is transformed intends the function of that which is capable of transformation.
