11.77

論解不合父母、師長中云「任所屠害，棰縛貨賣」者，隨順父母，以知恩故，任彼屠害。　「尚自不敢竊懷施心，何況顯然施來求者」者，此總結上不得施父母等，有心尚自不懷，何況顯然而用布施。

Where the treatise explains that it is improper [to give away] parents and teachers, saying: "Subjecting them to whatever slaughter, harm, beating, binding, and selling": according with parents is out of knowing their kindness, [even if] subjecting them to their slaughter and harm. / "One would not even dare secretly to harbor the thought of giving them away, how much less openly give them to those who come seeking": this summarizes the above that one cannot give away parents and the like; if one does not even harbor such a mind, how much less openly use them for giving.
