論云「若諸菩薩，若聞甚深最甚深處，心不信解，爾時應強信受等，乃至然不誹謗」者，此中言菩薩名信佛語，應自強信，自知無慧眼，於如來所說，不應生謗；但知自無知，不應誹謗，推佛能知等。是此中意也。

The Treatise states: 'If bodhisattvas, upon hearing the profound and most profound points, lack faith and understanding in their minds, at that time they should force themselves to faithfully accept them, etc., down to yet not disparage them'; what is meant here is that one called a bodhisattva has faith in the Buddha's words, should force oneself to have faith, should know that oneself lacks the wisdom eye, and toward what the Tathāgata has spoken, should not give rise to disparagement; merely knowing that oneself is ignorant, one should not disparage it, deferring to the Buddha as being able to know, and so forth. This is the intended meaning here.
