Regarding the treatise stating 'With respect to the holy teachings of all Buddhas of all kinds, all non-Buddhists, the armies of Māra, and so forth cannot mislead or deprive them': Why was it said earlier in the First Bhūmi that they cannot be misled by others, and now it is discussed again? A provisional interpretation: Earlier in the First Bhūmi it meant that they could not be misled regarding the teaching of thusness, or regarding all teachings in general—that is, they could not be misled regarding general characteristics, but not that they could not be misled regarding specific characteristics. Now, here, they cannot be misled regarding holy teachings of all kinds, meaning they cannot be misled among specific characteristics. Now in this bhūmi, a vaiḍūrya jewel is added, adorning the previous implements. Thus for all bhūmis, one should understand them by analogy to this.
