12.22

論解大乘、聲聞二種菩提分法，名二乘理趣。菩薩於聲聞涅槃如實了知，為欲伏聲聞，具一切種智故，而於其中不作證取。於大乘理趣，與聲聞別。

The treatise explains the two kinds of bodhipākṣika dharmas of the Mahāyāna and the Śrāvaka, calling them the principles of the two vehicles. The bodhisattva truly knows the nirvāṇa of the śrāvaka in order to subdue śrāvakas and to possess knowledge of all aspects; therefore, within it, they do not realize or grasp it. In the principle of the Mahāyāna, it is distinct from the Śrāvaka.
