論云「十種大願，今即於此極歡喜住能具引發」等者，此皆起十願因緣，亦即十願。若前方便名因緣，若正起名根本願。廣如《十地經》。第八願中，「與諸菩薩常同一味意樂加行」等者，如舊論謂與一切菩薩同一方便，以大乘化，名為一味。

Regarding the treatise saying, 'The ten kinds of great vows can now be fully initiated in this very Joyful Abode', and so forth: these are all causes and conditions for arousing the ten vows, and are also the ten vows themselves. If preliminary expedients, they are called causes and conditions; if being properly aroused, they are called fundamental vows. They are fully detailed in the Daśabhūmika-sūtra. In the eighth vow, 'always having identical aspiration and application in one single taste with all bodhisattvas', and so forth: as the old treatise says, having identical upāyas with all bodhisattvas and transforming through the Mahāyāna is called 'one single taste'.
