14.84

論解貪中云「謂於己受用過去境界」，謂過去上妙境界。覆心義勝，故名蓋貪，蓋與覆義相同也。有無有愛，即常斷二見貪也。

Where the treatise explains greed, it says: "meaning regarding past objects of one's own enjoyment." This refers to past superior and wondrous objects. Because its function of concealing the mind is prominent, it is called greed as a hindrance; hindrance and concealment share the same meaning. Craving for existence and non-existence refers to greed associated with the two views of permanence and annihilation.
