14.88

論云「煩惱差別有十五種」者，如前善中十五種次第配之，皆依一增上義立名，非剋體。如內門名厭患，見道名持，修道名遠分等道。

The treatise says, "There are fifteen distinctions of defilements." They are matched in succession as in the fifteen kinds of wholesome factors mentioned earlier, all of which are established as designations based on a single predominant sense, not their intrinsic natures. For example, the inner gate is called revulsion, the path of seeing is called maintenance, and the path of cultivation is called the distant path, and so forth.
