論云「除先所作能往惡趣順後受業」者，上來三因，明現在作業能往惡趣，除先順後受業；受惡趣果，非今生因故受，故次除之。「於欲界，四見及慢，喜、憂捨相應」者，此如《對法》第七卷，同後卷，當深彼解，所以大精。

Regarding the treatise statement: "excluding previously created karma experienced in subsequent lives that can lead to bad destinies": the preceding three causes explain currently created karma that can lead to bad destinies, excluding karma experienced in subsequent lives; experiencing the fruits of bad destinies is experienced not due to causes in the present life, and therefore it is subsequently excluded. Regarding "In the desire realm, the four views and pride are associated with joy, sorrow, and equanimity": this is as in the seventh fascicle of the *Abhidharmasamuccaya*; it agrees with the subsequent fascicle, and one should fathom its explanation deeply, for it is exceptionally precise.
