「不謗正法」是下半頌，下文亦總。　或恐如害瘡皰者，堅執惡見，虛受信施，毀謗正法，貪後世欲，生惡見因，此五名瘡疱。因受信施，耽利恭敬，因所生故。

"Not slandering the true Dharma" is the lower half of the verse; the subsequent text is also general. Alternatively, fearing to be like an afflicted boil refers to: tenaciously clinging to wrong views, accepting offerings of faith in vain, slandering the true Dharma, craving desires of future lives, and the causes that generate wrong views—these five are called boils. They are called so because they arise from the cause of receiving offerings of faith and indulging in gain and reverence.
