「習近順定諸臥具」者，謂邊際臥具，諸臥具中最極鄙劣，下極邊際，因此後能順生寂定。
"Resorting to bedding and seating conducive to samādhi" refers to marginal bedding and seating: among all bedding and seating, it is the most vile and inferior, reaching the utmost limit of baseness; through this, one can later conform to and give rise to tranquil samādhi.
