In the summary meaning: being free from the desires of the three realms, yet still having a residual basis regarding the Buddha's holy intention—these non-learners are called "the wise." Included in the path of further progress of abandoning desire in the desire realm is the fourth line, termed "unshakeable," because one has already abandoned the desire-attachment and generated the path of further progress; or it refers to the second candidate and fruit, and the third candidate, because to abandon the desire-attachment, they generate the path of further progress. The fruit of the non-returner is like floating on a clear pond. Furthermore, to reveal the three supreme benefits of liberation, samādhi, and wisdom: the liberations contemplate, contemplating light, and abandoning the concentration-hindrance, hence becoming free from defilement; samādhi contemplates emptiness and non-self, [and is] unshakeable; wisdom illuminates and cuts off, like floating on a clear pond.
