論云「由三因緣，空無有果」，謂無漏道果，非世間果。何以得知？下云「雖得定而無教授」，即真教授不隨故，無無漏生故，空無果也。

The treatise says: "Due to three causes and conditions, it is empty and without fruit." This refers to the fruit of the undefiled path, not a worldly fruit. How is this known? Below it says: "Although attaining concentration, they lack instruction"; that is, because true instruction does not accompany them, and because nothing undefiled arises, it is empty and without fruit.
