9.77

論云「於他沙門、婆羅門等乃至於諸法中得無所畏」者以來，第九、明不於沙門、婆羅門等，信彼所說，不觀瞻口故，若有顏面，於彼出家受學。此亦不然，唯以法智見法，類智得法，於大師教生決定信故，於諸法中得無所畏。此如下第九袟中廣解，《對法》第九卷亦解。

From where the treatise says, "Toward other śramaṇas, brāhmaṇas, and so forth, up to: attaining fearlessness regarding all dharmas": this is the ninth, clarifying that one does not place faith in what is spoken by other śramaṇas, brāhmaṇas, and so forth, and because one does not look to their mouths [for approval], if there is regard for appearances, one does not go forth and train under them. This too is not so: solely by the wisdom of phenomena seeing phenomena, and by the subsequent wisdom obtaining phenomena, because one gives rise to definitive faith in the teaching of the Great Master, one attains fearlessness regarding all dharmas. This is explained at length below in the ninth case, and the ninth fascicle of the Abhidharma[-samuccaya-bhāṣya] also explains it.
