The treatise, explaining the two mindless absorptions, states: "Thus, the one in training has already departed from greed for nothingness," and so forth. This is based on eradicating defilements and attaining realization. As in the notes to the ninth fascicle of the Abhidharmasamuccaya[-vyākhyā] harmonizing the peaceful abiding and so on, it is explained in detail in those notes. As for texts in other places stating that the absorption of cessation is first generated only in the desire realm, this refers to relying on teaching: when first training, one must rely on the desire realm; later, when it first arises, it may also be obtained in the form realm. Just as a person of the third fruit who had not yet obtained this absorption previously in the desire realm obtains it only after being born in the form realm, this absorption can then first arise, yet this is because they previously first heard this teaching in the desire realm, and only later gave rise to it in the form realm.
