The treatise says: "Thus, briefly by the power of three kinds of predominant manaskāra... up to... by the power of inferential manaskāra." As the citation of the sūtra explaining impermanence at the beginning of the previous fascicle generates pure faith, this is "by the predominant power of the manaskāra of pure faith" here. As the eight conditions, the fifteen kinds of alteration, the sixteen kinds of alteration, and so forth explained before are all directly perceived, this is the second, "by the predominant power of the manaskāra of direct perception" here. As momentary arising and ceasing in the inference that ceasing all has conditions just preceding this can be inferred, this is "by the predominant power of inferential manaskāra" here. All of these are the three kinds of manaskāra here.
