安惠云：謂即諸佛他心智緣是通果故，如通是證量修惠所攝。《二十唯識》伽他中云：「他心智云何：知境不如實，如知自心智，不知如佛境。」此證量者，皆不起言說及有分別智；以證自相故；如五識境。餘二乘、凡夫所得他心智，不稱他心法體自相，橫緣共相故，妄執意識故。故知，假說不依真事，此總結之。

Sthiramati states: That is, the knowledge of others' minds possessed by all Buddhas conditions them as the fruit of supernormal power; like the supernormal powers, it is direct realization subsumed under cultivated wisdom. As the verse in the Viṃśatikā-vijñaptimātra says: 'How is the knowledge of others' minds? / It does not know the object as it truly is, / Just as the knowledge of one's own mind / Does not know as in the realm of the Buddha.' Those who possess this direct realization never give rise to speech or conceptual intellect; because they directly realize the particular characteristic; just like the objects of the five consciousnesses. The knowledge of others' minds attained by other beings of the two vehicles and ordinary people does not conform to the particular characteristic of the phenomenon-entity of others' minds, because it mistakenly conditions the universal characteristic, and because it is an erroneously clinging mental consciousness. Therefore we know that nominal designation does not rely upon real entities; this concludes the point.
