The object perceived by internal consciousness, which is not apart from the mind, we also admit to exist; however, an object-condition outside the mind definitely does not exist. Outsiders cling to the aggregates of other persons' minds, and all external objects capable of producing the mind, as being the entity of the object-condition; therefore it is now negated, which is a general negation of the eighteen schools. However, the Mahāsāṃghika, Ekavyāvahārika, Lokottaravāda, and Gokulika schools also perceive their own minds and also perceive dharmas outside the mind; now, only one portion is negated, so there is no fault. Thus the Samayabhedoparacanacakra says: the citta and caitasika dharmas of all stream-enterers (srotāpanna) are able to cognize their own nature. This will be known in the second fascicle.
