1.39

復有難言：「現見一地，於一時間無金種性，或時則有；乃至一時無鹽種性，或時則有；或於一時有諸界性，或時則無。如是先無般涅槃法種性，何故不於一時成有般涅槃法種性耶」？

Again, there is an objection that says: 'We visibly see that a tract of land at one time lacks the gotra of gold, and at another time it has it; or at one time it lacks the gotra of salt, and at another time it has it; or at one time it has various realms, and at another time it does not. In this way, having previously lacked the gotra of the dharma of parinirvāṇa, why should one not at some time come to possess the gotra of the dharma of parinirvāṇa?'
