If discussing the substance of the seed: the fruition [seeds] of the three bad destinies are non-accomplished upon entering the darśana[mārga], because their substance is also gone. For the seeds of women and so forth, because their substance exists, they are called accomplished. Deportment indeterminate minds (īryāpatha-avyākṛta) are common to the desire realm and form realm; depending on which of the two realms one is born in, both seed and actual manifestation are called accomplished; if born in the formless realm, the seed is accomplished but the actual manifestation is non-accomplished. In the fruit of buddhahood, it is non-accomplished; the bondage of objective support is as appropriate. If deportment is generally produced, or produced through another's reception or through transformation, that deportment may also be called accomplished; the bondage of objective support is non-accomplished; it is said to exist based on a provisional mind, having no real producing cause. If it is real deportment, from the eighth bhūmi upward, the actual manifestation is also non-accomplished, because it is constantly untainted wholesome and not indeterminate. Technical-skill indeterminate (śilpasthāna-avyākṛta) exists solely in the desire realm, where seed and actual manifestation are called accomplished. If born in the upper two [realms], the seed is accomplished but the actual manifestation is non-accomplished. Although speech exists there, this is said in terms of bodily skill. In the two vehicles, both are accomplished; for the Buddha, both are non-accomplished. From the eighth bhūmi upward, the seed is accomplished but the actual manifestation is non-accomplished. If stated in terms of the minds taking them as objects, deportment and technical skill are to be understood analogously as appropriate. Indeterminates of supernatural transformation (abhijñā-phala-avyākṛta) are accomplished in the desire and form realms; because the phenomena of the form-realm stage are upheld below in both seeds and actual manifestations, they are called accomplished or non-accomplished as appropriate. Only upon reaching the fruit of buddhahood does the seed become non-accomplished. If stated in terms of the bondage of objective support, in the aśaikṣa of the two vehicles it is also called non-accomplished; on the eighth bhūmi, the seed is accomplished. Among tainted wholesomeness, it is differentiated as innate. Among expedient wholesomeness, it is differentiated through the three types of wisdom. With respect to realms and stages, whether actual manifestations and seeds are accomplished or non-accomplished should all be inferred accordingly.
