2.77

一、不知邪正者。言種體增假為此解，疏自斷云：定、道無表，既不體增，別脫無表例亦應爾，故斷取彼功能倍增以為正義。今復重破，破已破失，若將為正不了本解，謂不正為正，即不知邪正。

First, regarding "not knowing the incorrect and the correct": claiming that the essence of seeds increases was an expedient provisional explanation, but the commentary itself decided: since non-revelation of absorption and the path does not increase in essence, prātimokṣa non-revelation should by analogy be the same; hence it determined that the doubling of its functions is the correct tenet. Now refuting it anew is the fault of refuting what has already been refuted; if one took [the refuted view] as correct, failing to understand the original explanation and taking what is incorrect as correct, that is not knowing the incorrect and the correct.
