《論》：此意心所何性攝耶？《疏》有二解：初云：雙問雙答王由心所成三性故。初舉所顯王，故《論》云：此意相應四煩惱是染法故。次顯由王所成有覆，《論》云：此俱染法所依細故，故雙問答。

The treatise says: "To which nature do the mental factors of this manas belong?" The Commentary has two explanations: The first says: Both question and answer are dual, because the primary mind achieves the three natures through its mental factors. First, it mentions the mental factors to reveal the primary mind; thus the treatise states: "The four afflictions associated with this manas are defiled dharmas." Next, it reveals that which is made obstructed-neutral through the primary mind; the treatise states: "Because the basis of these concurrent defiled dharmas is subtle"; thus both question and answer are dual.
