《論》：「菩薩起此煗等善根」等。若二乘人，增上忍、世第一通依五地；中、下忍及煗、頂可通中間，非是見道近所依故。

The treatise states: "When a bodhisattva generates these roots of goodness such as Heat," etc. In the case of practitioners of the two vehicles, the superior degree of Acceptance and the Highest Mundane Phenomena are universally based on the five stages; the medium and inferior degrees of Acceptance, as well as Heat and Summit, may be based on the intermediate [dhyāna], because they are not what the path of seeing immediately relies upon.
