《要集》云：「相傳二釋：一云自性法身體凝然常，受用、變化皆是無常；一云三身皆凝然常，說無常者，據化相故。二家皆廣道理成立」。後斷云：「上來二釋皆為應理」。

The Yaoji says: "Two interpretations have been transmitted. One says that the essence of the svābhāvika-dharmakāya is motionless and permanent, while the saṃbhogakāya and nirmāṇakāya are both impermanent. Another says that all three bodies are motionless and permanent, and that speaking of them as impermanent is said in terms of their manifested appearances. Both traditions broadly establish this with reasoning." It later concludes: "Both of the two interpretations above are reasonable."
