7.303

今謂：必無二俱應理，互相違故，本說雖略，以明理盡。應依《攝論》、《金光明經》、《無上依經》、《楞伽經》等，說報、化無常以為盡理。經言「常」者，經及論文皆自會訖。

I now say: It is impossible that both are reasonable, because they contradict each other. Although the root explanation is brief, it clarifies the principle completely. One should rely on the Mahāyānasaṃgraha, the Suvarṇaprabhāsa-sūtra, the Wushangyi jing, the Laṅkāvatāra-sūtra, and so forth, taking the statement that the reward and transformation [bodies] are impermanent to be the definitive principle. Where the sūtras speak of them as 'permanent', both the sūtras and the treatises have already reconciled this themselves.
