Question: Looking from the mental factors toward the sovereign, they do not open and guide, and mental factors are not supports; but since both the mental sovereign and mental factors guide arising, what prevents mental factors from also becoming supports? The explanation is: The meaning of equal-immediate condition is reciprocal leading, so mental factors can become conditions; opening and guiding is based on superior capacity, and not being the sovereign, they do not become opening and guiding supports.
