Although cited in the Abhidharmasamuccaya-bhāṣya, Commentary, and Deng, it is still difficult to comprehend upon reading. Now it is briefly explained again. That treatise asks: For what reason are fifteen [propositions] the view of what belongs to self? Because of what belongs to self through association, what belongs to self through conformity, and what belongs to self through non-separation. 'What belongs to self through association' means: I possess form; because of the self's association with it, it is said to possess it. 'What belongs to self through conformity' means: form belongs to me; if it operates through the self's power of sovereignty, whether discarded or employed, the world says it belongs to me. 'What belongs to self through non-separation' means: I am in form; they conceive a real self dwelling within the aggregates, pervading the entity and conforming with it. The other aggregates are each like this.
