Alternatively, the eleventh fascicle of the Samuccayavyākhyā says: seven kinds of greatness correspond to the meaning of the Great Vehicle: 1. object; 2. practice; 3. knowledge; 4. vigor; 5. skill in means; 6. attainment; 7. greatness of activity. Greatness of object is because it takes the vast teaching as its cognitive object; greatness of practice is because it benefits both self and others; greatness of knowledge is because of the knowledge of the two kinds of selflessness; greatness of vigor is because across three great kalpas it cultivates countless kinds of difficult practices; greatness of skill in means is because it attains the non-abiding path; greatness of attainment is because it attains all the virtues such as the ten powers; greatness of activity is because it exhausts the bounds of saṃsāra in establishing the Buddha's work. Also, because this teaching distinguishes these seven meanings, it is called the Great Vehicle.
