Commentary: From here down for two verses is the sixth major section, which further resolves the opponent's objection concerning the error that without objects killing and so forth would not exist, and turns the question back upon other schools. First it relates the opponent's two objections; next one verse explains it; and the last verse cross-examines them. This is the first objection: If there is only consciousness and objects such as form are non-existent, consequently there would be no karma of body, speech, and so forth; how could those sheep and the like be killed by other persons, since they are phenomena outside the mind? Today, worldly people frequently raise this objection; understanding this text, they should lay aside their inferior views.
