Within the opening verse, the discussion of the verse has one [unit], the indication of enlightenment has two, the treatise's lines are four, and the meanings clarified are eight. The one verse has four lines, which can be known by looking at the text. Enlightening others and enlightening oneself are each shown separately by the treatise. The four true and the four fallacious constitute the eight meanings.
