二、熏習因，二：初、顯體離染。疏　以性下，順釋文。非直下，別顯意，先法、次喻。若不下，反以結成。並可知。

Second, the cause of perfuming has two [parts]: first, revealing the essence as free from defilement. The Commentary: "Because the nature..." and below straightforwardly explains the text. "Not only..." and below separately reveals the meaning: first the dharma, next the simile. "If not..." and below conversely concludes and establishes [it]. All can be known.
