11.24

初、總標。論　以有等者，此之六相雖則展轉各有所依，今亦但取根本而言，故云依境也。《楞伽》境界風所動，種種諸識浪，騰躍而轉生。此之謂也。

First, the general indication. Treatise: 'Because of having [objective realms]...' Although these six marks each rely on one another in succession, now it merely takes the root to speak of it; therefore it says 'depending on the objective realm.' This is what the *Laṅkāvatāra-sūtra* means by: 'Stirred by the wind of objective realms, the waves of various consciousnesses leap and surge into arising.'
