15.55

論　答下，二：初、釋法身能現，二：初、標也。法身是色體者，意明法身雖非是色，而是報、化之體，故能現色。即同虛空，體非群相，而不拒彼諸相發揮。疏言總者，據文亦是標爾。

The treatise says: From "Answer..." on: second, first, explaining that the dharmakāya can manifest [form], in two parts: first, indicating it. "The dharmakāya is the essence of form" means that although the dharmakāya is not form, it is the essence of reward and transformation, and therefore it can manifest form. This is just like empty space: its essence is not any of the multitude of marks, yet it does not obstruct the display of those various marks. When the commentary says "general," according to the text it is also just indicating it.
