「火燃之後，迦葉欲滅之，不可得滅。五百弟子及諸事火者，共助滅之，而了不滅。皆言：『大沙門所為也。』
"After the fires were burning, Kāśyapa wished to extinguish them, but they could not be extinguished. The five hundred disciples and all those who tended fires joined together to help extinguish them, yet they would not be quenched at all. They all said: 'This was done by the great śramaṇa.'
