次約內外而為分別。非數無為，通滅內外一切諸法。外草木等，應起不起，是外法滅；眾生內法，應起不起，是內法滅（此三門竟）。

Next, differentiation according to internal and external. Non-analytical unconditioned [dharmas] comprehensively cease all internal and external dharmas. When external grasses, trees, and so on ought to arise but do not arise, this is the cessation of external dharmas; when the internal dharmas of sentient beings ought to arise but do not arise, this is the cessation of internal dharmas. (This completes the third gate.)
