二諦義 2.42

Language
Classical Chinese

2.42

次釋諦義。例前亦應有四:一依名、二因緣、三顯道、四無方,今就依名釋。諦以審實為義,於諦於兩情審實,故名為諦也。

Next we explain the meaning of 'truth'. Following the previous pattern, there should also be four: first, relying on names; second, conditions; third, revealing the Way; fourth, without fixed orientation. Now we explain in terms of relying on names. 'Truth' has the meaning of being examined and verified as real; in truth from perspective, it is examined and verified as real in accordance with the two sentiments, therefore it is called 'truth'.
