"The next day, Kāśyapa invited the Buddha again. The Buddha said: 'Go ahead, and I shall follow shortly.' Kāśyapa looked back, and suddenly the Buddha was nowhere to be seen. By means of his spiritual powers, the Buddha went north several thousand billions of leagues to the borders of Uttarakuru, gathered naturally grown non-glutinous rice, filled his bowl, and returned; arriving before Kāśyapa, he sat upon his couch. When Kāśyapa arrived afterward, he asked: 'From where has the Great Man of the Way come again?' The Buddha said: 'From the northern land of Uttarakuru, I gathered this ripened non-glutinous rice, delightful, delicious, and fragrant; you may try eating it.' Having eaten his meal, the Buddha departed. Kāśyapa thought again: 'Although this great śramaṇa is spiritual, he is still not equal to my Way, which is real!'
