而子欲以緣求智，故以智為知（舉難）；緣自非緣，於（向）何而求知哉（反責）？
Yet you wish to seek wisdom through conditions, and therefore take wisdom to be knowing (raising the objection); conditions themselves are not conditions—toward what would you seek knowing (retorting with reproach)?
