緣起如本行說。詳意儒童時居七住，依無生忍見無生理，名入涅槃。折意以既得涅槃，謂究竟無修，如何復修後三住乎？古譯十地亦名十住。

The causal narrative is as explained in the [Abhiniṣkramaṇa-]sūtra. Examining the intent: at that time Māṇava resided in the seventh abode, and relying on the tolerance of non-arising he saw the unarisen principle, which is called entering nirvāṇa. The intent of the refutation is: since he had already attained nirvāṇa, meaning ultimate non-cultivation, why would he further cultivate the subsequent three abodes? In old translations, the ten grounds (bhūmi) are also called the ten abodes (vihāra).
