夫進修本（因）於好（去）尚、積德生（起）於涉求，好尚則取捨情見、涉求則損益交陳。

Now, advancing in cultivation is rooted in preference; accumulating virtues arises from pursuing aspirations. Where there is preference, emotional views of taking and discarding appear; where there is pursuing aspiration, decrease and increase are alternately displayed.
