This concludes the preceding text in general. It means that it exhausts the profound principle of the two wisdoms and depletes the pure discourse beyond mundane things. "Clear texts" refers to the sacred teachings cited earlier. Drawing out the principle by relying on the teachings, the path of prajñā can be understood and realized. Now, the preceding nine rounds of questions and answers all resolve and clarify the initial thesis. But the first round sets aside Confucianism and Daoism as neither boastful nor relying on anything, yet far from prajñā. The seven rounds in between either clarify both upāya and tattva, or distinctly analyze the two wisdoms, or explain object and wisdom together, or evaluate identity and difference. As for the ninth, quiescence and function share the same source, returning simply to the ultimate reach of prajñā.
