遂求有八：一、於諸毒藥霜雹災患，能息能成呪術所依靜慮；二、於界違所生眾患能除靜慮；三、於諸飢饉火災旱等現前在時，興致甘雨靜慮；四、於怖畏能拔濟；五、於乏食墮在曠野諸有情類，能施飲食；六、於乏財位所化有情，能施財位；七、於十方界放逸有情，能正諫誨；八、於諸有情，隨所生起，應作正作靜慮。

Fulfilling wishes has eight kinds: 1. dhyāna that serves as the basis for incantations that can pacify and avert the perils of poisons, frost, and hailstorms; 2. dhyāna that can eliminate various disorders arising from disharmony of the elements; 3. dhyāna that brings down sweet rain when famines, fire disasters, droughts, and so on occur; 4. being able to rescue those in fear; 5. being able to bestow food and drink on sentient beings who lack food and have fallen into wildernesses; 6. being able to bestow wealth and rank on sentient beings who are to be transformed and lack wealth and rank; 7. being able to properly admonish and instruct heedless sentient beings in the worlds of the ten directions; 8. dhyāna of properly doing whatever should be done for sentient beings according to what arises.
