3.130

此世他世樂有九：一、神通變現調伏有情靜慮；二、記說變現調伏有情；三、教誡變現調伏有情；四、於造惡者示現惡趣；五、於失辨才能施辨才；六、於失念能施憶念；七、制造建立無顛倒論微妙讚頌摩咀理迦，能令正法久住；八、於諸世間工巧業處，能引義利資生眾，具能隨造靜慮；九、於生惡趣所化有情，為欲暫時息彼眾苦，放大光明照觸靜慮。清淨略有十：一、由世間淨離諸愛味清淨靜慮；二、由出世淨無有染污；三、由加行淨；四、由得根本淨；五、由根本勝進淨；六、由入住自在淨；七、捨淨慮已還復證入自在淨；八、神通變化自在淨；九、離一切見趣淨；十、一切煩惱所知障清淨靜慮。

Dhyāna yielding happiness in this life and the next has nine types: 1. dhyāna that tames sentient beings through psychic transformations; 2. taming sentient beings through manifestations of prophecy; 3. taming sentient beings through manifestations of admonition; 4. displaying the miserable destinies to those who commit evil; 5. bestowing eloquence upon those who have lost their eloquence; 6. bestowing mindfulness upon those who have lost their mindfulness; 7. composing and establishing non-erroneous treatises, exquisite praises, and mātṛkās so as to enable the true Dharma to abide long; 8. dhyāna that, in the various worldly crafts and occupations, can produce material requisites that yield benefit and advantage as appropriate; and 9. dhyāna that emits vast radiance to illuminate and touch those sentient beings to be converted who have been born into the miserable destinies, in order to temporarily relieve their multitude of sufferings. Pure [dhyāna] briefly has ten types: 1. pure dhyāna through worldly purity, which is free from all attachment to relish; 2. through supramundane purity, which is free from defilement; 3. through the purity of prayoga; 4. through the purity of attaining the fundamental; 5. through the purity of surpassing progress beyond the fundamental; 6. through the purity of mastery over entering and abiding; 7. through the purity of mastery over re-entering after renouncing dhyāna; 8. through the purity of mastery over supernatural powers and transformations; 9. through the purity of abandoning all views and destinies; and 10. pure dhyāna of purificatory cleansing of all afflictive and cognitive obscurations.
