九、清淨施者，有十相：一不留滯施、二不執取施、三不積聚、四不高舉、五無所依、六不退轉、七不下劣、八無向背、九不望報恩、十不希異熟。速施不留故，不妄執著故，不積聚頓施故，謙下非競勝故，不依名譽故，不悔廣大不自輕故，勝妙物施故，於怨親中悲心等施故，悲愍施不希報故，不希當果故。

Ninth, pure giving (viśuddhadāna), has ten characteristics: first, giving without hesitation; second, giving without grasping; third, without hoarding; fourth, without conceit; fifth, without reliance; sixth, without turning back; seventh, without inferiority; eighth, without bias; ninth, without expecting reward; tenth, without longing for ripening. It is without hesitation because one gives swiftly; it is without grasping because one does not falsely cling; it is without hoarding because one gives all at once without accumulating; it is without conceit because one is humble and does not vie for superiority; it is without reliance because one does not depend on fame; it is without turning back because one does not regret vast giving and does not belittle oneself; it is without inferiority because one gives superior and excellent things; it is without bias because one gives equally with a mind of compassion toward enemies, friends, and neutral parties; it is without expecting reward because one gives with compassion without expecting recompense; it is without longing for ripening because one does not long for future fruits.
