四約不一不異成有本識者，若本識中諸法得有不一不異，離識不成；若離本識說不一不異者，即是假說。

Fourth, regarding establishing the fundamental consciousness in terms of neither identity nor difference: if all phenomena possess neither identity nor difference within the fundamental consciousness, apart from consciousness this cannot be established; if one speaks of neither identity nor difference apart from the fundamental consciousness, it is merely metaphorical speech.
